Fire Chief's Message
Welcome to the North Central Fire Protection District website. Thank you for taking the time to explore who we are, and why we exist. I hope that you find the site informative and engaging. Our mission includes the responsibility of ensuring the safety and welfare of the public we serve.
The District serves 230 square miles, and serves a population of 51,298. Approximately 10% of the District is residential and commercial occupancies are within the urban/suburban area, the remaining 90% is considered agriculture and low density residential.
I have over 25 years in the Fire Service, ranging from service in Los Angeles County all the way up to Del Norte County. Becoming Fire Chief in this fire district has a been humbling and I bring tremendous excitement to begin my service to this community. My commitment to the community is to build upon our Department’s Mission to integrate with our community in ways that exceed traditional fire service methods. Our Fire District’s culture is to continue to be a vital part of the community we serve. Any feedback from our community members is always welcome and is the best way to provide us with your contact information.
As I transition into this position, I would ask you as community members to reach out in any way we can better serve you. We commit to working together with you to better serve the needs of this amazing community. We prioritize serving with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
On behalf of the NCFPD Board of Directors and myself, thank you for allowing us to be a part of our community by serving you.
Sincerely,
Kevin Carey, FIre Chief
